Short Courses & Reading Groups
Discussion groups about some of the classic books in the Christian tradition, both new and old. Students, faculty, and community members are welcome to participate.
This fall, our short courses include:
Theology of the Body
Tuesdays, 12:30-1:30pm, starting September 10 for 8 weeks
In response to a world awash in confusion and uncertainity about identity, sexuality and gender, this short course offers a bold and thoroughly biblical look at the meaning of the body, sex, gender, and marriage.
The Screwtape Letters
starting in October
In preparation for our exciting upcoming production of the play of the same name, we will host a brief 4 week reading group on selections from The Screwtape Letters, the theatrical classic from C.S. Lewis. Sign up to receive updates on when this group will start.
Fellows Program
Combining rich community over home-cooked meals, thoughtful conversation, and Christian spiritual formation, the Fellows program helps students to see themselves and their callings in the light of the gospel. This multi-semester program aims to provide a grounding in the best of what the historic Christian tradition says about bringing our whole lives into God’s story for all of creation.
Midweek Sabbath Prayer
Need a break from the high tempo of academic life? Join faculty, staff, and students for a midweek respite and time of sabbath prayer. We'll spend some time reading scripture and praying for our campus and community. You're welcome to bring your lunch.
Every Thursday, 12:30-1:30pm, in Norris 209
