Thinking Thursday: What Does It Mean To Be Deeply Anglican? with Father Wade Miller
Many have wondered why there is such a diversity of Christian denominations and traditions. It’s a good question, and the Bradley Study Center seeks to understand that question better. Join us as we explore many of Christianity’s various traditions. Learn about other denominations’ histories, liturgies, polities, controversies, practices, and their shared commitment to Jesus Christ as the central figure of their faith.
The thrust of my presentation will be to discuss the ancient roots of Anglicanism that centers around its continuity of the undivided church prior to the Great Schism in 1054. This talk will explore the antiquity, theology, and relevance of Anglicanism committed to its deep tradition. At the heart of Anglicanism is a Benedictine rule of life where prayer, work, and Eucharist intersect providing people with purpose and meaning.
