SUMMARY:What Does It Mean To Be Presbyterian?
DESCRIPTION:Many have wondered why there is such a diversity of Christian denominations and traditions.  It’s a good question, and the Bradley Study Center seeks to understand that question better. Join us as we explore many of Christianity’s various traditions. Learn about other denominations’ histories, liturgies, polities, controversies, practices, and their shared commitment to Jesus Christ as the central figure of their faith.\nThis event is the fifth in our series titled, “Exploring the Beauty and Breadth of the Church.” Previously, we learned about what it means to be Anglican, Catholic, Methodist, and Eastern Orthodox, and this time around, we will be exploring Presbyterianism!\nRSVP here!  ( https://forms.gle/RzWtWLo8TLzmmgg98 )\nA bit about our guest speaker:\nTaylor has been the associate pastor at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church in Blacksburg, VA for about 13 years. He and his wife Erika have been married for about 20 years, and they have two boys–Gabriel and Corban. Before serving at Grace Covenant, he got his Master’s of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary and served as an interim pastor for a little while. Before God called him into ministry, he was an astrophysicist and then worked for Cartoon Network while in seminary. In addition, he loves baseball, reading, philosophy, science, Shakespeare, science fiction, and listening to classical or jazz music while enjoying a good cigar.\nThis project was made possible through the support of an award from the Stephen & Laurel Brown Foundation through the support of a grant from the John Templeton Foundation.
